Our Groups...
Our Groups,
are at the heart of the
services the charity provides across the Diocese of Brentwood (Essex and East London). Having provided local support, networks, events and most importantly, an ear at difficult times, the Fellowship has been an important part of the community for those living with a disability and their families.
The charity once had over 9 groups across the Diocese with hundreds of volunteers and members apart of the membership.
The charity current has 3 groups as shown below but is actively looking to expand our services in other areas of our community. If you would be interested in supporting the charity, its work or enquire about starting a group in your area, please get in contact.
All members can access activities and attend events across the charity. When signed up you will be affiliated to a local group, however, you are free to explore the activities and support available across the charity.
At the charity, we believe that everyone deserves to feel included and part of a supportive community. Thats why we are committed to making a positive difference on the lives of those we serve, and we rely on our amazing volunteers and donors to help us achieve that.
If you're looking for a friendly and supportive community, we encourage you to join our membership and discover what the Catholic Fellowship Disability Network can offer you and your family.
"We had so much fun on the days. Myself and the children all looked forward to them. I also found the Lambourne staff to be very kind caring and inclusive of all children"

Advocacy Program
Community Disability Advocate
NEW SERVICE
In 2024, the CFDN has launched it very own Community Disability Advocate program to support its members across the charity. All members have access to the advocate and can arrange a visit or contact them for advocacy support and to help signpost you to the right services.
The Advocacy program has been designed to assess the needs of people with disabilities, their families and carers to ensure they are getting the right support and empower their voice.
Our 3 main objectives for this service are:
1. Ensure that members are aware of or receiving the support and entitlements that are available to them.
2. Enabling people with disabilities and their families to achieve personal goals through access to inclusive and supportive environments and programs.
3. Advocate members' rights and Safeguard against inequalities to enable members to reach their full potential and goals.
